SHAWNEE-ON-DELAWARE PA – A localized duplicate of the television show “America’s Got Talent” will feature ordinary people as star performers in a show staged for charity June 1 (2012) at The Shawnee Playhouse, 552 River Rd., Shawnee-On-Delaware PA.
“America’s Got Talent” showcases people from all walks of life and from across the country in a variety of performances: singing, dancing, acrobatics, comedy, juggling, impressions, or bizarre talents. Shawnee’s Got Talent intends to do the same. It hopes to provide theater-goers at the playhouse with plenty of entertainment; offer fun and a chance to win prizes to the performers, and raise money for Mady’s Angels, a charity that awards art and honor society scholarships to East Stroudsburg PA area students.
Performers are being solicited now via online registration, here. A $15 registration fee will be waived for those who register by May 1. The playhouse reserves its right to decline acts it deems as too dangerous.
