KUTZTOWN PA – The Pennsylvania Civil War Roadshow, a multi-dimensional traveling exhibit developed specifically for the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War, will be among the exhibits displayed during the 63rd annual Kutztown Folk Festival, scheduled for June 30 through July 8 (2012), on its grounds at 225 N. White Oak St, Kutztown.
- This event has been added to The Post calendar.
The roadshow tells stories of many ways Pennsylvanians experienced the war, both at home and on the battlefield, through an extensive collection of artifacts, memorabilia, 3-D photos, and Civil War era music. It is presented by the Historical Society of Berks County, the Kutztown Folk Festival and the Greater Reading Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The decades-old festival itself features folk art and traditional crafts, what is billed as “America’s Largest Quilt Sale,” Pennsylvania Dutch living history, fun and entertainment for children and adults, and Pennsylvania Dutch delicacies.
