MOUNT LAUREL NJ – It’s raining outside. Or it’s too hot. Or too cold. Or maybe, for any reason of your choosing, you’d just rather be entertained indoors for a day or part of it.
Electric go-carts inside at Funplex
If in New Jersey, or headed that way, think “Funplex.”
The Mount Laurel Funplex, specifically, is 18 miles east of Center City Philadelphia at 3320 US Route 38, Mt. Laurel NJ, near Briggs and Hartford roads. It features plenty of indoor entertainment, including bumper cars, junior bumper cars, electric go-carts, a motion simulator, laser tag, bowling, and an arcade.
There’s also “Foam Frenzy,” in which you and your best friends blast each other with soft foam balls shot from air cannons. Sounds like a sure stress reliever.
But the Funplex has its share of outdoor stuff too, just so guests don’t feel too cooped in. Two types of race carts are on outside tracks, along with typical carnival rides, miniature golf, bumper boats, and a water park to soak cares away … or splash the goodness out of your neighbor.
For all the reasons listed above, the Funplex bills itself as a premier destination in southern New Jersey for birthday parties, corporate picnics and gatherings of all kinds. Travelers and vacationers are welcomed too, though, and if you want to make a habit of the Funplex it even offers a season-long pass.
