Its performance is part of the Philadelphia cathedral concert series
PHILADELPHIA PA – The Tenebrae Choir of London, winners of a BBC Choral Award, will perform Friday (Nov. 9, 2012) at 8 p.m. by candlelight in the Philadelphia Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, 18th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, as part of the cathedral concert series, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced Wednesday (Nov. 7).

The choir’s selections include Russian masterworks from Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky, interspersed with contemporary compositions. Tickets are available for purchase on-line, here, or by calling 215-587-3696.
The current concert season offers an opportunity to experience both local and international musicians in the historic cathedral. The Tenebrae Choir was founded 10 years ago and is considered one of Great Britain ‘s leading chamber choirs, the archdiocese said.
